Adolescence is a time of discovery and dynamic changes both socially and emotionally. These changes are typically felt as emotional turmoil for the adolescent and their caregivers and take root within neurobiological development. This presentation will provide clinicians an understanding of what changes are happening in the brain, what is typical and atypical adolescent behavior, and how to implement emotion regulation skills to help teens and their parents navigate this powerful and important development stage.
