We will discuss the identification of a food addiction/eating disorder and how to parallel treatment for clients with substance abuse and food issues. 
 
Learning Outcomes

  • Participants will be able to identify not only substance abuse issues but process addictions as well (food, eating disorder, sex/love, etc.).
  • Participants will have a strategy when co-occurring addictions are identified.
  • Participants will gain an understanding of the cycle of addiction within the addict with co-occurring addictions...how the behaviors are "traded" back and forth.

Tennie McCarty, LCDC, ADC III, CEDC

Tennie is the founder and co-owner of Shades of Hope Treatment Center and currently serves as CEO. 2. Identify areas where a lack of emotional resilience can cause problems or prevent effective treatment,
3. Provide strategies to both develop and maintain emotional resilience in the workplace.

Dr. Keith Kesler is a Board Certified psychiatrist with over 35 years of clinical experience in psychiatry and emergency medicine.
