May the Qi Be With You, by Sharabella Fini

Imagine dancing in a field of energy; a dance flowing in a field of expression through breath, movement, and visualization. Practice Qigoing, and you can experience this flow. Qigong (chee gong), is a Chinese practice dating back several thousand years, and includes a series of movements in various positions to gather, move, and release the qi-life-force, energy, vitality. Gong is practice, cultivation, skill. Qigong combines physical posture, breathing techniques, and focused intention to help the practitioner achieve harmony on all levels
Grab it while you can.
Qi exist all around you, so it seems sensible to want to grab as much as you can. Through the practice of Qigong, you can engage in the exchange and interflow of this energy, learning to focus it for different purposes.
  • According to ancient masters, qi is the fundamental energy of the universe, the power behind our movement, emotions, and mentality.
  • Since Qigong practice cultivates this energy, it can help awaken natural self-healing, properties within your own body, mind, and spirit.
  • The same principles apply to Medical Qigong, a process by which a Qigong therapist emits, qi to help resolve blockages in someone else's body, helping to free up balance vital energy.
Qigong to said to stimulate the flow of blood, and the flow of qi to various parts of the body through meridians- major energy pathways- in order to maintain health and enhance longevity.
Today's busy life style choices leave little time for reflection or slowing down, and there's a lack of connection to your inherent loving and peaceful being. It's important to discover your inner light and open up to the power and simplicity of connecting to all aspects of the self-and the wonders of the universe.
Either practiced or received as an external healing, it would be wise to take note of the physical, mental, and emotional benefits that can come from experiencing an ancient art like Qigong.
